A soldier comes home from Iraq, suffering from PTSD. He has a heavy gambling problem, he drinks, and he just does things that he normally wouldn't do. He finally gets tired of seeing his family suffer so he takes his own life while his wife is seven months' pregnant. They have twin boys and a four-year-old daughter, so his widow must try to pick up the pieces and raise her kids alone. She is trying to stay afloat, but is finding it difficult. She meets this guy in the restaurant when she waits on him. It isn't love at first sight, but it is a friendship that becomes something serious.
